How It Works

How the bid simulation works

The simulator uses a modified bid-volume curve model based on Google Ads auction dynamics.

Bid elasticity model

Higher bids win more auctions, increasing impression share and clicks. Lower bids lose auctions. The model uses a non-linear elasticity curve: a 20% bid increase typically yields 15–25% more clicks, not a linear 1:1 ratio.

Conversion rate stability

Your conversion rate stays roughly constant across bid scenarios (it depends on your landing page and audience, not your bid). More clicks at the same CVR = proportionally more conversions.

Optimal bid = best ROAS

The optimal scenario is the one with the highest ROAS — meaning you're getting the best return for every euro of ad spend. This may not be the highest revenue scenario, but it is the most efficient.

When to raise vs. lower bids

Your ROAS is above target and you're losing Impression Share to budget or rank. Raising bids captures more of the available market before competitors do. Check IS metrics in Google Ads first.

Lower Bids When...

Your ROAS is below target or you're over-spending on a campaign that isn't converting. Lowering bids reduces wasted spend on low-quality clicks and reallocates budget to better-performing campaigns.
